Mac Os X Rtsp Player For Windows Xp
I was trying to play a streaming video from CSPAN and all of a sudden it stopped working. I can no longer play streaming videos either with a plugin or directly using either Real Player or Quicktime. Well, I can play videos as long as they use an http address or URL, but RTSP no longer works. Is my firewall suddenly blocking it? Can't play them using Safari either.
Here's the address I was attempting to connect to:
rtsp://video1.c-span.org/archive/arc btv/arc_btv0621084.rm
I just get a message that there's a network problem. I'm using an Airport Extreme base station, but until today everything was working fine and there was no problem with this protocol. Has something been reset?

Hi everyone,
Is there such a thing as a Mac-native tool for downloading RTMP streams?
I'm trying to download a German-language news video for use with one of my students, but so far have not been able to find a pre-built solution for achieving this.
I'm hoping there is something available that I don't have to compile as I only have the one Mac system (MBP 10.7.4), which is my work machine, and so don't want to monkey around with compiling options and leaving trash all over my system (if runs slow enough now as it is).
If anyone can suggest anything, I would greatly appreciate it.

I resorted to making a copy of VLC: cd /Applications cp -pr VLC.app/ VLC2.app Then opening the VLC2 app and using it to open another RTSP.
